A multi-city hackathon series produced in collaboration with Ruth.AI and Google, bringing together women builders, technologists, and industry leaders to explore AI for social good. Hosted at Google's offices in San Francisco and St. John's Terminal in New York City, the events welcomed 200+ attendees for prototyping, presentations, and networking. Challenge Creating a cohesive event experience across two distinct Google workplaces, each with unique architectural and operational requirements. Both locations needed to accommodate extended hackathon sessions before transitioning into presentations and networking, while maintaining a consistent visual identity across the series. Approach Working closely with the Ruth.AI team, I developed an adaptable system of spatial planning, environmental graphics, and event collateral tailored to each venue. Additionally developing the digital strategy across different platforms to enable the best reach and interest. I organized flexible zones for focused work, collaboration, and presentations while coordinating circulation for participants, staff, and guests. Wayfinding, branded collateral, and partner materials established a consistent identity while integrating naturally into Google's existing environments. Outcome The series established a cohesive experience across San Francisco and New York, allowing participants to move organically between focused work, collaboration, and presentations. Flexible spatial arrangements supported seamless transitions into evening programming, while consistent branding and coordinated production reinforced Ruth.AI's mission across both locations. What I Created Spatial planning and flexible furniture zoning Environmental graphics, wayfinding, and signage Event collateral, badges, and presentation materials Brand integration across both Google locations Participant, staff, and guest circulation planning Presentation environments and on-site production coordination
