Working on a project of this scale, with its aggressive timeline from concept to execution, was truly special to me. On the heels of one of Tiffany & Co.'s most custom and bespoke openings under LVMH in Milan, this project was already on the horizon before the dust had even settled. Challenge: Delivering a flawless opening that aligned with leadership's vision while navigating significant language and cultural barriers in an unfamiliar market. Managing last-minute adjustments late in production and aligning on solutions within an extremely tight window. Coordinating across a congested site with multiple teams installing furniture, art, and fixtures across a multi-level store, all on an aggressive timeline. Approach: Understanding the complete picture from the outset was critical. Doing due diligence as early as possible, coordinating closely with designers to align creative concepts with implementation realities, and having difficult conversations when outcomes weren't clear: these were the foundations of success. Managing countless deliverables across time zones required treating every partner as an equal contributor, not waiting for a single "superstar" to save the day. Keeping everything on schedule and to spec meant anticipating problems before they became crises and having contingency plans B, C, and D ready. Redundancy was crucial. Outcome: Traveling to Tokyo to implement these creative elements was exhilarating and humbling. Even with meticulous planning, there's always room for human error, especially on a project with this level of visibility. Managing installations taught me not just the technical language of execution, but how to collaborate with international partners and problem-solve in real time: which elements could be quickly adjusted, which required larger interventions, and how to design with implementation flexibility in mind for future projects. In the end, Ginza Tower built on the success of Montenapoleone and pushed our capabilities even further. "Tiffany & Co. has unveiled its new flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo, the House’s largest in Asia. Inspired by the iconic New York flagship, The Landmark, Tiffany Ginza redefines the jewelry experience with a vision of contemporary luxury that effortlessly combines art, craft and Japanese culture." - LVMH
